WASHINGTON.- Along with colleagues from Steptoe & Johnson, of which he is a member, the former governor Luis Fortuño has lobbied to stop the measure of congresswoman Nydia Velázquez that seeks that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has more control over the investment firms and the so called local mutual funds that have businesses in Puerto Rico.
