After weeks of warnings, the federal agency with powers over the elected government resorted to the judicial process in order to enforce what was established in the Fiscal Plan
Arguing that, with his actions, Governor Ricardo Rosselló Nevares "would put the financial future of Puerto Rico and its people in greater danger," the Board went to the Federal District Court for that forum to establish that furloughs, reducing or eliminating the Christmas bonus and pension cuts are a comprehensive part of the Fiscal Plan for Puerto Rico.
