Brayan Rosa Rodríguez, executive director of the Youth Development Institute, pointed out that this state credit, in addition to the national credit, has been implemented in 14 U.S. jurisdictions, so if implemented in Puerto Rico, it would be the fifteenth U.S. territory to be approved. The Youth Development Institute (IDJ) is working on a proposal to implement in Puerto Rico a version of the federal Child Dependent Tax Credit (CTC), with the objective of eradicating child poverty on the island, informed Brayan Rosa Rodríguez, executive director of the IDJ.
