If the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) confirms the waiver for international aircraft to use Puerto Rico as a transshipment hub, the island would have in for the first time a real "opportunity" to monetize its geographic and strategic position in the Caribbean region, said Jerónimo Lectora who promotes the initiative.
