The Health Department has failed to comply with the mandate to prepare a protocol to address cases of strangulation or non-lethal asphyxiation in hospitals, more than 200 days after the entry into force of a law that mandates it, which led experts on the issue to urge urgency in the drafting of such regulations in order to prevent more femicides by this form of gender violence.
