Bayamón - Ana Escobar, outgoing secretary of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR), was perhaps the agency head who faced the most pressure to leave her post. First, because of the mysterious circumstances in which Shannel Colón Ponce died while being held in Bayamón prison and, more recently, because of the release from prison of the femicide Hermes Ávila Vázquez.
