About access to credit cards, according to the report, 20% of adults in the United States do not have a credit card, in Puerto Rico, it´s 40% of adults.

Puerto Ricans’ financial well-being is lower when compared to the financial situation of consumers in the states and they have less access to banking and credit since there are fewer Puerto Rico-based financial institutions, according to a study by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
