Hotels, motels, and inns owe more than $20 million in “room tax”
As the tourism industry asks for more money to promote the island and the destination management, the debt in “room tax,” between 2004 and the first half of 2022, totals $20.6 million according to data from the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC).
