“The governor is innocent and wants Puerto Rico to know that she did not profit, that she did not take a cent,” said one of her lawyers, Ignacio Fernández De-Lahongrais, in explaining why Wanda Vázquez Garced and her legal team have publicly disclosed the threat of a possible indictment for alleged irregularities during her 2020 primary elections campaign.
