The political action committee (PAC) Salvemos a Puerto Rico - with a fundraising system to campaign against the opponents of Governor Pedro Pierluisi resulted in criminal charges against its president, Joseph “Joey” Fuentes-, reported at the federal level close to $822,000 in donations, fraudulently attributing most of the contributions to the shell corporations Foundation for Progress and Fundación Pro Igualdad.
