Small Caribbean islands, such as Puerto Rico, are increasingly vulnerable to aggravated disasters - especially weather-related hazards and pandemic diseases - exacerbating existing barriers to cancer control in the region, according to a newly published study that addresses the challenges that must be addressed to protect patients during these emergencies.
