Democratic Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez affirmed on Friday that while the appointment of a U.S. Attorney’s Office official to oversee Puerto Rico’s elections is a positive routine measure, it falls short of the demand made by members of Congress to address the structural issues within the State Elections Commission (CEE).
