In a move that surprised the election commissioners because it involves two nominees who were already rejected, the New Progressive Party (PNP), through its electoral representative, Aníbal Vega Borges, presented this Monday Judge Jorge Rivera Rueda, of the Caguas Court, and Judge Cyndia Irizarry Casiano, of the Arecibo Court, as candidates for president and alternate president of the State Elections Commission (CEE).
