The bond Puerto Ricans have with Goya products is undeniable. All it takes is a stroll through the aisles of any supermarket on the island to find a variety of canned beans, rice, tomato sauce, seasonings and all kinds of frozen foods, among many other products. However, few people imagine that, for the past 19 years, behind the development of many of these products is a Puerto Rican born and raised in Mayagüez: Chef Fernando Desa.
