Washington D.C. - Robert Menéndez (D-N.J.) has renewed and cautious hopes that a bill to compensate Vieques residents with up to $1 billion for the consequences of the use of that island for U.S. military activity -the measure includes the construction of a trauma center- can be approved before the end of 2022.
