Ritchie Torres, a Democratic congressman, stated that there is a power generation deficit of about 800 megawatts and that more than 100,000 customers have access to electricity in Puerto Rico through generators provided by FEMA. (vanessa.serra@gfrmedia.com)

Puerto Rican Democratic Representative Ritchie Torres (N.Y.) asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to keep temporary generators that provide 350 megawatts and help stabilize the power supply in Puerto Rico in place. FEMA seeks to remove those generators by March 15, 2024.
