In a message on the floor, Charles Schumer (pictured) argued that he will vote in favor of the resolution - which funds the federal budget through September 30 - as a partial government shutdown in the hands of President Donald Trump “would be far worse.”

Washington D. C. - The U.S. Senate will begin voting this afternoon on the budget resolution that would end funding for the government this federal fiscal year and avoid a partial shutdown of the federal government at midnight tonight.
