Washington - The U.S. Senate, which has ruled out advancing a pro-statehood bill, has not even opened the door to debate on Puerto Rico’s political status, despite the renewed interest shown by the House Democratic leadership passing this year a bill that would regulate a plebiscite on Puerto Rico’s political status.
