The Department of Justice calls for a halt to lawsuits against the governmentAccording to the agency, even though the Adjustment Plan went into effect, the litigation standstill continues.
The Department of Justice sent a notice to the Judicial Branch indicating that lawsuits by individuals or companies against the government of Puerto Rico still cannot be addressed, since as a result of the confirmation of the central government´s Plan of Adjustment (POA), there is “a permanent injunction” against thatagenctype of resources.
