Washington D.C. - Before a Congressional subcommittee, the Puerto Rico Institute of Statistics (IEPR) warned of the problems caused in the development of public policy by the wide gap between states and territories in the data collection conducted by the federal government, with particular concern over the exclusion of the island from studies on employment and local government spending.
