WASHINGTON - Yesterday, in the first hearing of the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance that was dedicated exclusively to Puerto Rico in 25 years, the Republican leadership advised that it would need more information and transparency before deciding whether to promote legislation that would help ease the intense fiscal crisis that Puerto Rico is enduring.
