To get to Puerto Rico, Sister Mickerlyn Cadet took several trips by bus and motorcycle, alone, from Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital, to the border with the Dominican Republic. It took at least two days of travel to get to the Santo Domingo airport to catch a flight to San Juan in search of resources for her students.
