Nearly a thousand non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that receive federal funds to manage essential services - such as to offer services for minors and abused women, homeless elderly and for the early education of children - are preparing for “the worst case scenario” in view of the expected impact on their operations, and on the populations they serve, of the cuts promoted by the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump.
