This Tuesday marks the 10th anniversary of the most recent public Senate Energy and Natural Resources hearing on the status debate, which should put into perspective how far that body has been to move forward in the search for a solution to the island’s colonial dilemma. (Archivo)

Washington D. C. - Despite millions of dollars in lobbying, two additional local plebiscites, bills, and legislation recently passed in the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate has not even held a hearing focused on Puerto Rico’s political status over the last decade.
