UPR Mayagüez Campus Seeks to Operate New Arecibo Observatory Education Center After closing the facility temporarily this month, the National Science Foundation evaluates proposals for the space, which could open its doors in 2024
While the scientific community advocates for scientific research to return to the Arecibo Observatory after its closure in mid-August, the National Science Foundation (NSF) is evaluating the proposals to operate the education center that would open there in 2024. The proposals include those by the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez Campus (RUM, Spanish acronym).
