The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced Wednesday that 16 community organizations in Puerto Rico were selected as Solar Ambassadors to support efforts to install solar panels and storage batteries on the rooftops of 40,000 low-income households or residences with a member with disability, a program funded through $1 billion of the Puerto Rico Energy Resilience Fund (PR-ERF).
