Together with her husband, Aida Ortiz Baez is the one who takes care of her son Eduardo Pagan Ortiz, diagnosed with severe non-verbal autism, but as the years go by, the anguish of not knowing who will take care of him when she is gone increases. (Nahira Montcourt)

Coamo - Aida Ortiz Báez and her son, Eduardo Pagán Ortiz (22), walk hand in hand through their farm under the hot sun of a recent afternoon. On the land near their home is a huge mango tree, which the family has named “Eduardo,” and swings are scattered around for Eduardo to play on.
