Born in Bel Air, Maryland, in 1992, Puerto Rican Mónica Negrón has always been passionate about basketball. But it wasn’t until high school (Patterson Mill) that she decided to try her hand at lacrosse, a sport that, as she describes it, is growing in popularity at the collegiate level.
