It's been repeatedly stated in these Caribbean lands that if the Legislature were to pass the Tax Reform Law, Puerto Rico will enter the group of 150 economies that use the Value Added Tax (better known by its Spanish acronyms "IVA") as the main mechanism to add collections to the public funds.
