The Department of Education (DE), the Public Buildings Authority (PBA), and the Office for the Improvement of Public Schools of Puerto Rico (OMEP, Spanish acronym) awarded more than $6.3 million in contracts to a company that was flagged in 2021 for alleged irregularities, without knowing the conclusion of a legal investigation on its performance initiated back then.
