Fitch praises improvement on Puerto Rico’s finances

The rating company described the recent release of the government’s consolidated financial statements as a success but warned that there is still a long way to go in the race for transparency.

Fitch Ratings recognized as a success the recent publication of the Consolidated Audited Financial Statement for fiscal year 2021 (CAFR), an event that, according to the rating firm, shows that the Government of Puerto Rico has “improved” its administrative capacity.
